Tomato Days 2025 Presented by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kansas City Begins April 24th

Kansas City Community Gardens is excited to host our annual Tomato Days Warm Season Plant Sale beginning on April 24th for Green & Yellow Card members and April 25th for all members. We will continue to sell plants after these dates until we're out of inventory.

Plants include tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, tomatillos, ground cherries (sold in 3-packs) and herbs (sold individually). In order to ensure that all members are able to purchase warm season plants from us, customers are limited to 10 3-packs of veggie transplants per season. Herbs are sold separately; members can purchase up to two of each variety available.

Member pricing per 3-pack is the following:

Green Card = $0.50 per 3-pack
Yellow Card = $1.00 per 3-pack
Orange Card = $2.00 per 3-pack
Blue Card = $3.00 per 3-pack

To see all the varieties of plants we'll offer, click here.

Seeds will also be available. To see our seed catalog, click here.

You will need to be a 2025 member to purchase plants. You can sign up online here.

Please note - the opening days of our plant sale have different hours than our regular office hours. On April 24th and April 25th, we will be open from 9am-4pm.

We will resume seasonal office hours on Monday, April 28th, which are:

Mondays 10am-5pm
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9am-5pm
Thursdays 9am-6pm (through May 22nd)
Saturdays 9am-12pm (through May 10th)

A big thanks to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City for serving as a presenting sponsor for Tomato Days 2025. Their gift makes it possible for us to offer our warm season plants at affordable prices for our members.
