KCCG to Celebrate 40th Anniversary
On Thursday, June 26th, from 10am - 11:30am, we'll be hosting a celebration in the Beanstalk Children's garden for the 40th anniversary of Kansas City Community Gardens - marking both our incorporation as a standalone organization and the hiring of Ben Sharda as Executive Director
Join us for brief remarks, garden mingling, and refreshments as we toast this special milestone.

Sweet Potatoes Available For Pickup
If you ordered sweet potatoes, they are available for pick up.
We will hold them until June 13th and then we'll make them available for the general public.
If you didn't place an order, we have a limited amount of extra slips available. You can purchase them in person during our office hours - Mondays 10am-5pm and Tuesdays-Fridays 9am-5pm.

The Beanstalk Children's Garden Officially Open For Tours
The Leanna Flandermeyer Beanstalk Children's Garden is now accepting reservations for group tours!
This garden is a unique urban learning environment where children are invited to see, smell, touch and taste growing plants. They'll gasp in wonder as they learn where their food is grown, discover new favorite foods and leave inspired to make healthy choices.
Don't let its name fool you - the Beanstalk is a fascinating space for people of all ages, not just children. You'll find many of the seed and plant varieties that KCCG offers to gardeners growing in the Beanstalk, including fun and colorful varieties from our Beanstalk Seeds line. The next time you're at the KCCG office, plan a little extra time to take a tour and see what's growing here!
To book a tour, email us at tours{at}kccg.org.
Please note - self guided tours are free (donations accepted).
