This week we’d like to spotlight an event held yearly by one of our community partners, Cultivate KC. They are holding their 18th Annual Farmers & Friends Meeting on Saturday, February 11th from 8am-1pm at Plexpod Westport Commons.

This year, I’m really excited for all of it, but especially the panel discussion led by the National Sustainable Agricultural Coalition (NSAC). The panel will include local KC Farmers and the group will discuss the 2023 Farm Bill and how funding from this important piece of legislation has/will affect them as individuals. NSAC will also be giving tangible action steps for how we as eaters, farmers, gardeners, and just overall lovers of food, can show support.
