KCCG had the pleasure of hosing Brownie Girl Scout Troop #1565 for a tour at the Beanstalk Children’s Garden and the troop toured all 6 of our gardens.

They got to taste things like blueberries, provider beans, stevia, Malabar spinach, and pineapple while touring the garden.

When they contacted us about booking a tour, they told us that they intended to save a third of their earnings from cookie money, spend a third, and donate a third to a good cause.

To our unexpected delight, they chose KCCG and the Beanstalk Staff as the beneficiaries of their donated money! When their tour ended, they invited the whole KCCG office to the lobby to present the Beanstalk staff with gifts they bought.

They brought us bypass pruners for each Beanstalk employee, gloves for everyone, heavy-duty leather gloves, and plenty of sunscreen!

Lois Hutchins, the Beanstalk Garden Coordinator, and the rest of the KCCG staff was extremely impressed by this gesture!
