Are you looking forward to spring as much as I am? As I watch the last of the snowstorms blow through, I enjoy passing the time with some podcasts.
Gardening podcasts are a great way to stay current with the latest horticulture trends and find inspiration for your next spring project. Here are three of my favorite gardening podcasts that I’ve been listening to lately:
Plantrama – a podcast for everyone who has ever grown or thought about growing a garden. The hosts of this podcast, CL and Ellen, are both professional gardeners and authors of several gardening books. In their episodes, they talk about anything from compost tea to window box soil to grow lights. When I listen to the two of them chat away, I imagine them sitting around the kitchen table with some tea like good friends.
Joe the Gardener – creator of the popular PBS series “Growing a Greener World”, Joe Lamp’l also hosts “Joe the Gardener” with the mission of spotlighting people around the world who are working for the betterment of the planet through gardening. Through his interviews, he encourages home gardeners to grow their own vegetables in patio and backyard-sized gardens using organic practices.
A Sustainable Mind Podcast – hosted by Marjorie Alexander, “A Sustainable Mind Podcast” originally started out as her master’s thesis project and has since blossomed into a great resource for environmental activists or anyone who wants to hear what others are doing to help better the planet. To inspire action, each interview ends with a suggestion listeners can do to reduce their environmental footprint.
Hope you enjoy!
