Because we know you’ve been waiting on the edge of your seat, SYG is ready to share our 2021 Wrapped!

We’d like to extend a special thank you to all of the teachers and students we partner with. As a team of 3, the work we do would not be possible without all your hard work and dedication to your schoolyard garden! 

In 2021:

• SYG provided 13,043 transplants and 1,973 packets of seeds to schools for their gardens
• 4,915 students were engaged in the garden
• SYG supported 216 schools actively growing 
• SYG assisted 65 schools with building new gardens and repairing/expanding existing gardens
• 1,000,000,000,000 cabbage loopers were reported
• 27 children swore they’d never eat kale, but now love it
• 700 students hoped with all their might they could grow pineapples, avocados, and bananas in their garden
• 0 pineapples, avocados or bananas were grown…maybe next year
