Each Session = $18.00/Girl Scout and includes Badge - Adults Are Free

If the dates and times below don’t work for your group, private Scout workshops are available by appointment for groups of 5 or more. Contact us to schedule your badge workshop at tours{at}kccg.org or call 816.931.3877 (Ext 320).

Beanstalk Children’s Garden reserves the right to cancel workshops with low reservations with 24 hours notice.

KCCG is an ideal site for Eagle, Silver Award, Gold Award, and Conservation Award projects, as well as community service opportunities!

Gardener Badge Workshop

April 18th at 10am-12pm

Juniors – Find out how to make your own garden, no matter where you live.

  1. Visit a garden
  2. Explore garden design
  3. Learn how to choose garden plants
  4. Experiment with seeds
  5. Grow your own garden

When you’ve earned this badge, you’ll know how to help plants and flowers grow. This badge comes in a packet that includes the Jeweler, Gardener, Detective, Camper, and Independence badges.

Outdoor Art Maker Badge

May 16th at 10am-12pm

Daisies – Explore the outdoors and use what you see and hear to make different kinds of art projects.

  1. See the colors of nature
  2. Hear the sounds of nature
  3. Share your outdoor art

When you’ve earned this badge, you’ll know how to look at nature like an artist and make your own outdoor art.

Flower Badge Workshop

June 6th at 10am-12pm

Juniors – Discover that there’s more to flowers than just good looks.

  1. Uncover the science of one flower
  2. Look under the petals
  3. Find out how flowers help people
  4. Have fun with flowers
  5. Send a message in flower code

When you’ve earned this badge, you’ll know all that’s wonderful about flowers.

Snack Badge Workshop

July 25th at 10am-12pm

Brownies

Make great snacks for yourself and your friends.   

  1. Find out about different types of snacks 
  2. Make a savory snack 
  3. Try a sweet snack  
  4. Snack for energy 
  5. Slurp a snack    

When you’ve earned this badge, you’ll know how to make yummy snacks for your family and friends.

Trees Badge Workshop

September 26th at 10am-12pm

Cadets – Find out all about trees: from the shade to the science, the fruit to the forest, and the legends to the lumber.

  1. Try some tree fun
  2. Dig into the amazing science of trees
  3. Make a creative project starring trees
  4. Explore the connection between people and trees
  5. Help trees thrive

When you’ve earned this badge, you’ll have gone to the root of what trees are all about—and branched out as a naturalist.

October 3rd at 10am-12pm
